Philosophy on Technology
I believe that technology has changed the way people approach education. Technology has changed essentially every other area of life: business, industry, entertainment, etc. Technological proficiency has become a necessity for the up and coming generation. Thus, educators must be able to prepare students for the future. Educators must teach students not only how to use current technologies, but how to think. Because it is only those who love to learn who will be able to adapt to new methods and even newer technologies that are going to be present in the future.
Course Expectations
In my Education and Technology class, I hope to learn several things.
1. I expect to know how to use Microsoft Word to create professional documents.
2. I expect to know how to use Microsoft Excel to create functional spreadsheets.
3. I expect to know how to use online resources, such as search engines, blogs, and wikispaces, as educational tools.
